Being an author myself, I can be a little biased about which VMware related technical books are the best.  The VI3 Advanced Technical Design Guide is just one of those books that is a must have for every VMware Administrator.  Scott Herold just announced today that the first two chapters of book one as well as the first two chapters of the book two are available for download.  Scott also went on to say that the page will be updated every couple of weeks or so with two more chapters for download. I have a copy of this 816 page virtualization guide and the sheer size of it just made it very difficult to carry around. It is going to be very nice to have this book as a reference on a thumb drive.
